Rocker John Mayer has cooled rumors he is dating Mandy Moore by romancing Cameron Diaz over dinner. The couple was spotted enjoying an intimate dinner at New York eaterie Indochine, and according to spies, were "very playful and cozy."

A source tells New York gossip column Page Six the couple "met years ago at a concert (but) their relationship just started".

John Mayer has been spotted "getting really close" to Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger.

The musician - who has previously been romantically linked to Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz - was seen flirting with stunning Nicole at Los Angeles nightclub Villa last week.

A club insider said: "They were chatting and getting really close - she was into it. They left within minutes of each other."

A representative for John had "no comment" on the new relationship.

Notorious US gossip blogger Perez Hilton recently claimed John is bisexual.

Perez - real name Mario Lavandeira - alleged he had kissed John at a New York nightclub last year.

Following the incident, Perez said: "He is definitely bisexual, but he is struggling with his sexuality. He kissed me, and I kissed him back. It was on the mouth with tongue. I thought he was messing with me. Then he kept going and going."

One friend told Britain's Star magazine: "Jen thinks John could be 'The One' and that she has fallen for him - hard!

She's usually pretty cautious when it comes to dating but, with John, she has decided to follow her gut feelings."

Jennifer - whose last serious relationship was with actor Vince Vaughn - also isn't worried about John's colourful past.

A source added: "She has heard all about his past and his womanising ways, but doesn't see him like that."

John has also admitted he is smitten with Jennifer.A friend of the singer - who has previously been romantically linked to Cameron Diaz and Jessica Simpson - said: "He had become disillusioned with some of his earlier relationships, but he thinks Jennifer is gorgeous and he loves her sense of humour."The couple - who recently enjoyed a trip to New York - are now said to be planning a holiday to Mexico together.A source said: "Jen and John definitely want to spend more time together. Jennifer Aniston goes to London with John Mayer

Jennifer Aniston will soon be with the band. The former Friends star flew into London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday and is one step closer to reuniting with boyfriend John Mayer.

Mayer, 30, is expected back in London Monday after kicking off a 10-day European concert tour last week in Denmark.

Sunday night, Aniston, 39, enjoyed a dinner at La Famiglia Italian restaurant in Chelsea with a couple of pals (and sans Mayer), the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports.

The actress is expected to stick close to Mayer as he tours the U.K.

His tour ends next Saturday with a London concert also starring the Police, Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow, who happens to be Aniston’s buddy.

But when he met Brad Pitt's ex-missus, 39, earlier this year, he couldn’t help himself falling for her.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have split again, it has been reported.

The couple, who are said to have parted ways several times in recent months, allegedly ended their relationship for good on Sunday (03.06.07).

A source told People magazine: "It has been rocky and it had been rocky, and it reached the end of the road. It is definitely over - the relationship has ended.

"They broke up Sunday night, but who knows what the future will hold. This is the twelfth time they've broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week, they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring."

Jessica, 26, and John, 29, who have been dating for the past year, recently spent time in New York and Mexican resort Cabo San Lucas in a desperate effort to save their relationship.

The source added: "They tried to make it work. They dated for a year. They spent time together in an attempt to talk things over. But it's over.

"Every relationship has its differences, but with Jessica and John those differences were starting to become more and more apparent."

A source close to Jessica said: "She loves John but she has to be true to herself."
